In case you hadn’t noticed the additions to our last post on Mysore classes in NYC, here’s the sccop. Authorized teacher, Lori Brungard, has announced the opening of Ashtanga Sadhana in the East Village. For Upper West Siders, Zoe Slatoff has opened her own shala — Ashtanga Yoga Upper West Side.

“We are happy to announce the opening of Ashtanga Sadhana, offering daily mysore style ashtanga classes in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, taught by authorized teacher Lori Brungard. These classes are at 9am M-F, and 8am on Sats at Yoga to the People, 12 St. Marks Pl, between 2nd and 3rd Aves. (no classes on new and full moon days) They are offered at a low cost in keeping with the philosophy that yoga should be available to everyone. Intro monthly membership rate of $120, $100 for students. New website www.ashtangasadhana.com is now under construction, keep checking for new beautiful enhancements!”
